
Dr. Susan Davenport was named dean of the Heavin School of Arts and Sciences in 2006. She joined the College in 1997 as a senior program advisor and was appointed vice provost for Learner Services in 2004.
Dr. Davenport played a key role managing the College's transitional plans that merged the Heavin School of Social and Behavioral Sciences with the School of Arts and Sciences, revising curriculum for many of the undergraduate and graduate programs now offered by the Heavin School of Arts and Sciences, which was reorganized in 2007. She also played a key role in developing the
Master of Arts in Educational Leadership degree program.
Dr. Davenport earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drew University in Madison, N.J.; a Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania; and a doctoral degree (PhD) from the University of Nebraska.
