Eligible military spouses* can now receive up to $6000 of MyCAA Financial Assistance to pursue higher education degrees and certificates that lead to better and higher paying jobs. By receiving education and training in "portable" jobs, relocation never gets in the way of reaching your goals.
The Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program provides $6,000 for education and training in several Thomas Edison State College programs.
To help spouses find jobs after completing their education, MyCAA is currently developing a network of military friendly employers in public and private sectors. These are employers who want to place military spouses in internships for job training; hire military spouses into good paying jobs, and retain them within their organizations as spouses relocate from duty station to duty station. Military spouses with active MyCAA Accounts will receive email alerts announcing these expanded employment assistance and job placement services late in 2009.
Manhy of our programs are offered entirely online.
*To be eligible for the MyCAA $6,000 in financial assistance, you must be the spouse of an active duty or activated Guard or Reserve servicemember. Spouses of the severely injured, ill, wounded or Killed in Action (KIA), Prisoners of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA) are also eligible.
